I tried a bit of creative researching....

I think you can get an idea by checking most players scores, and see what the rank is for something they've not done at all. For example, my "rank" for vehicles vs object is 3679 as of this date. So, I figure that this month 3679 people have logged on enough to get registered for rank in GVs...however long that is. Those with really short times (or is is sortie numbers??) in that category and still have "0" rank wouldnt show up, but its a close enough estimate to get a feel.

It is a category specific number, so bombers have a different number (3620 this am), and fighters are i think 5105. (I found these by just entering names I knew till I found someone who's been busy enough to have zeros. This month, I knew Widewing had been tied up with RL and TA, so his total fighter points were incredibly low -- especially for him.)

So, I'm betting that 5000-6000 are active enpugh with their accounts to actually take off.

Yes, but the following question is: how many are in their "non paying" 15 days of trial?

Only HT knows for sure....

On the other side, there are some who pay but may not play. My brother (the pusher who introduced me to this form of crack) has had RL and connection issues that have kept him off for several months, but he's still a member to keep his handle alive. I remember some military guys on deployment saying they do the same thing. The 2 weekers outnumber the paying non-players for sure tho.

BTW, the zero point fighter score number's up to 5196 this afternoon.
