The demo crashed my computer so far, but it does look nice. I don't know about the physics though.

The game looks cool, but don't buy it because of Starforce.

It's a copyprotection system which replaces system drivers (pwns your computer) and has already caused major problems such as bluescreening computers. Including mine when I tried the DEMO.

Yes, the demo installs starfarce for some reason.. What are system intrusive programs that are installed without any functional purpose usually called? Something that starts with the word v..

the physics are strange.
The sampled sounds are really fresh after playing LFS, but.. it all feels a bit canned. I'd forgotten it was made by the same people as GTR, but it's clear once you're driving.
It's too bad there can't be 3d party visual models in LFS, because once LFSTweak comes out for S2, muscle cars should be more fun to race with its physics. All it would need is authentic rubber and better sound.

I agree Moot. I haven't installed the GTL demo yet. If ur PC crashes, there's a "Starforce patching" you can download from the demo download page. The 60s car used to "float" a lot while racing, and had poor brakes. I happened to watch the "Goodwood revival" yesterday, and it was the main pilot comment.

As far as LFS, it bugs me to make 2 complete spins at 30 mph with touching the throttle in a F1. Plus various grip related issues at slow speed that don't quite reproduce my L driving "feelings".
And I do miss some kind of GT40/Ferrari/Porsche LeMan lookalike.

It's true, there's really no grip at low speed in LFS. But there's enough good things besides that to make me forget about it 90% of the time, especially that physics are the next patch's emphasis.

I actually really like the spongy suspensions and massive handling of those old cars in GTL, but something about the way grip works just feels wrong... what do I know. The brakes seem pretty good to me, I can trailbrake the corvette real easy.
It's really tempting to see those licensed Porsches and muscle cars, but I'm already spending too much time racing

But **** yeah, an american block, and some exotic road cars + GTR versions would be great.

It's really hard to portray an accurate physics FEEL in car games because in real life 90% of the input comes through your behind. You will feel the slip and G-forces happen way before any visual indication gives it away.
