This first half was originally a private message to Dune. He gave me some advice long before I was even divorced. Basicly, he was giving me advice when things started to get rocky. And to save myself from having to type things, I will just paste the message I sent Dune. There is one error, which I didn't know about when I originally sent him that PM. I was under the impression that the hearing was Friday (the 27th) turns out, it was today.
've talked to you on this subject before, about my crazy ex wife. Here's a little update.
Right before Thanksgiving she dropped my son off to me, and said keep him. I don't want/can't take care of him. So, I was doing just this up until after Christmas when I get a letter from the attorney general wanting to grant custody and get child support from me.
So, I went and got a lawyer. Whom basicly told me that all the attorney general is is basicly and informal way of setting things straight. Turns out, the few months that she had my son, she was with all kinds of crazy guys. Doing drugs etc.,
So, I filed on her. She was served with the papers the 18th of this month. And has a temporary restraining order on her. Our trial will be the 27th of this month. And, my lawyer doesn't think there will be any problems with me getting full custody.
On a related note, after a routine doctors check up for my son. I found out he has a heart murmur (sp?) in which his doctor does not want him to get sick, for fear of complications from his heart condition.
Thats the situation in a nutshell, and I feel obligated to give you a heart felt thank you for your advice. I will let you know how things turn out once we know. We both think it should turn out ok. None of her family supports her anymore.
Now, the hearing today went very good. I went in there, prepared I was going to have to testify. Before hand, my lawyer told me straight up that she was going to get up there and lie her bellybutton off. He gave me a notepad, and a pen and was told to write down everything she said that was a lie, and write the truth.
My ex (Tiffanie) was called first. As we suspected she started lying. I wrote down things, and I noticed everytime I did, the judge would look at me.
After both lawyers talked to Tiffanie, they called her mother. She lied just about the same as Tiffanie did. Same story, I would write down lies etc.,
So, after both lawyers had finished talking to her mother. George (My lawyer) started to call the next witness, which would have been me. But, the judge stopped him. Said he had heard enough, and granted me custody.
All in all, it went better than I expected.
