Theres nothing wrong with flying outnumbered to begin with. Many times one country will have lots of numbers but the people are all over the place and not fighting in one place. I have fought in furballs where rooks have been totally outnumbered. It turns out that the enemy will just BnZ you to death as this isnt a suprise as most do this even when not in a furball. May get overwhelmed and lose the base but its still fun as I usually kill many of the enemy before I get killed and usually get picked when slow. Then the cavalry comes in and the enemy gets pushed back and turns into a big furball with the numbers balanced in the fight.

I have fought as knight back in the days and now I am rook but occasionally go to knights if fights are bad on the rooks. I know the feeling of always being outnumbered as numbers were real bad, a lot worse then now, with the rooks on sundays where at times seen almost 300 rooks on against what was a small number of 130 knights. It was bad and the fights were horrible with rooks just swarm in on numbers picking after picking so usually fought bish on those nights.

With the new ENY system numbers are not as bad as they once were. To me its not the numbers of the country, its the numbers in the fight. It makes things a little bit harder when facing more enemy in a big fight but its more fun. You get more targets to shoot down and when its like 1v10 just grab a 262 and the worries are gone. ENY doenst affect some as they dont fly them low ENY planes, like me all I fly is a 38 and the J has a ENY of 35 and the numbers have to be realy one sided for that plane to be disabled.

So you dont get to fly your lgay7 and dweebfire 16, boohoo, just learn to fly a plane that is somewhat challanging and then dont have to worry about ENY. I can see though when the ENY reaches 5 and the lgay7 and dweebfire 16 pilots cant fly their plane more will log off which was one of the complaints about putting the ENY system into place.

However, sides will never be balanced, there have been nights where knights will have large amount of numbers erally outnumbering bish and rooks. Rooks and bish as well have had these nights. Its all depends on the night. Seems like a lot of bish fly on mondays, lot of rooks fly sunday, and seems that most knights fly saturdays. During the week its pretty much scattered on what night has the most people but are usually pretty good numbers wise.

If you are one of those people that are perk hungry, look at it this way, if you need perks best way to get them is by flying when your outnumbered as you earn more.

I have seen the "numbers war" fluctuate widely. There were times when Rooks were getting it handed to them and several CO's started some combined ops.

As to what HITECH stated though, it has seemed as though the days of HUGE gangbangs has been reduced. There are times when each side has superiority and times not.

I don't know what the best solution is....perhaps try recruiting more for your country. Perhaps get the CO's on your side to try some combined operations.

I do not think that the ENY will help tremendously by changing it any further that the way it exists now. My squad is unaffected by it...we stay with our country thick and thin....Plus the ENY effect forces you to try some other planes...some of which I think are WAY better than the others....take for example the

LA5 with the very very cool bright green "lime-sicle" color scheme!!!!

yes, but not trying to move the fight away from a base, and you are really just asking for it. makes for some boring play as 10 people fight for 4 kills, until the hoard arrives, which is unchecked because there is no resistance until they get over the target. defend your base is good, but what is the sense to fight "over" it, attack planes have reached the target, bombs away. furballers are now picking you off over your base, leading to vulching. people trying to reup are vulched, they don't have a chance to get airborn and fight like they would if the fight was away from the field. of course this is my theory:)

also i would say i'm a bit suicidal, when i get outnumbered on the deck, i find it fun to see how long i can survive, maybe i take a few with me, maybe not. so it is also possible that i don't really know what im talking about.

well I wouldnt want the eny thing too "kick in" any harder because as it is more than half the time Im fightin knights or bish, there all in LA-7 an Nik or 16. (then again everyone does) so fightin these planes and havin to stick to planes of atleast 20eny would kinda suk.

however I do think the time limit to switch from country to country should be kicked up alot. instead of bein able to switch back in a few hours it should be like atleast a week. So now people cant just switch to be on winning side then go back, or for whatever other reasons.

Havent read through each post on this so forgive me if I am mirroring something someone alse may have already said.

As many already know I've never been in favor of the ENY thing. I never thought it worked or could work in the manner needed.
I always have said "A horde is a horde is a horde. be it 50 Spits ponies and Las or 50 P40s Thats still alot of planes"

Well It does kinda sorta work. but not really. And still sometimes not at all
What I see is people sometimes doing, when numbers go up for one country thus kicking in ENY what they do is not switch to the side with the lowest numbers but switch to the side with the next most numbers.
That way they get their uber planes and still get to pick on the weak thus keeping their rankings up as well as being and they can still continue to over run the weaker country.

They often dont come to the weakest country at all. Probably because, Hey, what good having my superduper airplane if all Im going to do is go get gangbanged?
At least with the second most numbers I still get to be more of a ganger, thena gangee

Now no matter if you have 50 planes from country A hording you or 25 planes form country A and 25 planes from country B comming at your 10 planes "A Horde is a Horde is a Horde"

But this isnt always

Sometimes it just remains like old times where one side has vastly more numbers then either of the other two reguardless of what the ENY is.
The only difference being is in the planes they come in.

Come on guys dont flame Richard and as a Knight I strongly agree with what he says. After work I log on to AH and about 90% of the time I'm on we are greatly outnumbered by the rooks and bish. I was playing today and it got so worse that I immediately logged off and did other things.

It seemed as if everywhere I went the knights got outnumbered. We kept losing bases and I just said to myself screw this and I quit. I would switch like everyone prefers but due to the fact that I am in a squadron I want to be loyal to my squad therefore I dont switch. I just joined the squad and I dont want them to say I'm just another guy that quit a squad. But to be honest Rich I dont think there's anything Hitech could do about this. I thought about adding another team but there are 3 problems to adding another team

1. If you give a side named Kings everyone wants to join that country to boost their ego.

2. If you give a side named Queens no one wants to join that country because of the name Queens.

3. If Hitech does add another team chances for a team to be eliminated faster are much higher therefore if one team is reduced to one base and still continues to go on people would be frustrated with one base and just switch to the other sides.

So if Hitech does come up with a solution then all power to them but unfortunately they are human just like we are.

a week way to long. i tend to go where the fight is. if i see alot of green bars all over the map, and it doesn't seem to change, then i will go to the side that seems to have the worst odds. why, simply because i like to have more targets than i could kill myself. it is easy to pick people of while they are fighting someone else, but reverse the situation, and you have a good fight. if it was every week, then you can draw your own conclusions.

Agree 100%.

Its not how many people are on a team, its how the numbers are together. If one country say has 200 people on and an opposing country has 130 on its all about where the people are located. The 200 person team could have specks of people here and there and the other team be grouped together and would capture more bases. Its all about how many people are in one area of the map.

I myself am not into the whole "we must win the war thing" as that to me is very boring. Go to the base, pork, wait hour for a goon, land and do the whole thing over again. I myself side with those that want a FT with indestructable bases and no ord. If we had that, you guys would know where to find me.

For how long we should wait to change teams...I feel the time difference should be very short. Say maybe 1-2 hours for how long you have to wait for to change countries again. This would encourage, I think, for people to even out more instead of having to wait 6 hours. I sometimes go knight when the fights are crappy on rooks. Then couple hours later the fights suck and pick up again on rooks but I have to wait another 3-4 hours to go back cause of the 6 hour wait.

some one really needs to change there flying days/times ..

the arena #'s swap thru-out a 24-48 hr period .... just watch the bases as they move back and forth ..

another thing if ya notice is how many players are flying (its there in the current eny thingy in the clipboard ) You'll notice 10-15% of Us Rooklanders are sitting in our castles (Counting Sheep ect..) while your making a big deal over the arena numbers ... (now does this help your rank ?? Try taking up toolsheding and stratidefying).

Yes he does ... and no he won't. Notice that you are really the only one in this thread that is passionate about making the ENY MORE AGGRESIVE. That surely must tell you something.

The point is if ENY was used more aggressively the sides would be more equal in number of players, and if the sides did not balance out then at least the side with the lower numbers would have a better chance of compeating in the war because of the weaker plane set of the higher numbered sides.

That's what ENY does now ... and when it kicks in ... some groups still ***** that it's TOO AGGRESIVE.

The point is switch over to the Knights for a week and see how fun this game is anymore, it really sucks now, and yes if the Knights were the team with the constantly stronger numbers I would want and expect the creator of the game to use the powers he has to make the teams more fair!!!!! A stronger and more aggressive ENY would do this, because one of two things would happen

Going on 4+ years now ... I have seen it all ... I think ENY is just fine the way it is.

1. The teams would balance out over a short period of time because players from the higher numbered sides would want to fly the ubber non-perked planes.

or,

2. The team with the weaker numbers would have more of a chance because the severe ENY would cripple the other two teams because they would be restricted from using the ubber non=perked planes.

Tell us something we don't already know.

but,

I think result 1 above will win out because people will want to fly all the rides available!!!!!!

Could be true ... people already switch for that same reason when ENY kicks in.

or,

3. Make the main areana two sides only!!!!!

Never happen ... not as long as HT breaths.

The problem with your "aggressive ENY" campain is that it is completely self-serving.

If the Bish/Rooks were in the bucket would you be so vehemently asking for a more aggressive ENY ? ... I think not ... and most others probably think the same. That is why you have no real backing in this thread.

People who switch from the sides with the stronger numbers to be able to pilot the better planes are just smart!!!! If you take the game as a serious Team game and have loalty I would not expect you to switch sides. But there are at least 20% on each side that don't care about Team Tatics, these are the guys that just want to furball and not capture bases. It is those players that would balance the sides out!!!!

my rank was a 13 and we were out ####ed by alot i dident switch sides

Shawk is ranked 1 in this game and he never switches sides when hes out numbered

pacerr(i cant believe im saying this:p ) dosent switch and lynx dosent leave when they get out numbered just fight it out and deal with it.

There was another post about this eny and it showed bish out numbered by knits, and rooks so much rooks eny was 45 and knits was 25. our perk mod was like 2.50 and 262s were like 50 points. I must have got like 500 perks in an hour playing that night. Just deal with it.
