Da Rules Need To Be Posted
« on: February 03, 2006, 02:56:06 PM »
The DA's no MA Or AvA but it still is a fun place to practice getting on ones six and have some fun one on one.  As well as a place to settle differences and also a fun place for new guys to learn and meet some great sticks.

But lately its riddled with vulching adolescent FFA bull crapers that are ruining the honor of the duel.
I call upon HT to please post a pop up window As one would see in the training arena.
stating "THE RULES OF THE ARENA" for all new joiner to see. i.e.
1.don't fire until you ask first.
2.check six to challenge one to a duel,
3.wait for them to check  back, first pass is dry  and no HO.
it would greatly reduce the misunderstandings and grounding party's.

I also think that a dedicated FFA base should be established for those  that want to fly that way .

lol Raven.  Last time I complained about some one acting like that in the DA, they made him a trainer.

Only rule that apears to be is, id your check go through?

I sent an email to HTC with this exact same request, so I agree with you NRraven.

However, I think you should send an email directly to HiTech and Skuzzy giving the names of the offenders as well as your request for the rule postings.  You can't always count on them to come to the boards looking for suggestions.

Also, use the ".report username" command while in game.  This provides a log of the incident that can be reviewed by the staff of HTC instead of just going by complaints of the users (who might be biased).

But as I said, totally agree with you. :aok

There is.  It is A1, but no one goes there cause it is not fun, unless you spoil someone elses fun.

(Waiting for the next great idea of moving to a diff field, cause we all know that we cannot be followed there)

There were numerous threads posted about this issue. HTC remained silent which leads us to believe:

a) Due to work amount on Combat Tour, DA is very low on the priority list, or
b) HTC doesn't want to change anything about DA

Meanwhile try to make the best out of your DA experience and don't forget to turn on recorder when there's a problem and/or make use of reporting function. Send films to HTC. From my past experience speaking, they will react if complaints hit certain threshold.

Only the bottomfeeders vulch in the DA.  They suck in the MA and need the egotistical support to suppress the feelings that will eventually resurface.

oh ok
just didn't think it was all that much work to simply have a basic pop up like in the training arena when you entered stating the rules.

DA generally sux, but a good few fights here and there.  i think would be good to have a "default field" listed as a FFA, and the if you want to have a serious duel with someone then you can always lift at another field.

i know vulching sux, but the majority of really good fighs occur 1 v 1. when 10 people or more lift from the same field you just have to know your fight might get interupted.  i think it woud be nice just to have 1 FFA (though vulching is stupid) and then all the rest dedicated to challenges and what not.

my 2 cents, doesn't buy much, but hey there it is.   and yes i hate it when a good fight fight get interupted.

Nr_RaVeN, I concur with your request for an MOTD pop-up or something, explaining the rules of this particular Arena...........enough people speak up , I am sure HTC will isten, just need the community support backing the idea!!!

Shees...how hard can it be? Its as simple as typing up a MOTD. You yourself could prolly do it in 5 minutes or less.
