« on: February 11, 2006, 09:19:44 PM »
I've lost all audio on my puter... bought a new headset Altec Lansing plugged it in and it worked for a few seconds and all Audio is gone.... Nothing. Reinstalled my Audigy2 ZS Soundblaster, tried the WIN XP reinstall... nothing.

I'm lost. I need help.

Mac, you had the Creative utilities loaded, didn't you?  It will take a fresh format and re-install of the OD to get rid of that mess.

If you plug a headset into the Audigy 2 ZS headset port, the sound to the speakers is shut off automatically.  I believe there is a volume control wheel on the exterior of the card.  It can be bumped rather easily and if you happen to tunr it all the way down, you will not hear anything from the headset.
