Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Unfortunately the idea was scrapped before it went into production.  As has been stated on many other threads, if it didn't actually deploy in combat, it does not belong in AH.

Neither would the pigeon - aimed anti-ship missile.

Always makes me smile when 3 days after History Channel does a whole hour on a topic (Modern Marvels - Secret Weapons of the Allies) someone comes in here and suddenly knows way too much about it.  But doesn't mention it so that we'll believe they are super WWII trivia master.

Actually knew about both beforehand -- from a little source called "World War II Magazine".  I remember telling my dad about it, and he thought I was making things up.  I was glad to see the episode coming on all this time later and "made" him watch it so he knew I wasn't nuts.

Was actually looking for the exact issue just now when your post popped -- can't find it.  I was going to scan the picture of the guy holding the bat that they used in the program, since that was the only picture in the article (as far as I can recall).  Then I remembered I can't attach anything to the BBs anyway, so really no point . . .

BTW, I think Modern Marvels took all of their "secret weapons" right out of WWII Magazine to be honest.  All were covered in it at one point or other.

Besides, saw no reason to source it since obviously everyone here saw it too. ;)  And anyway, Debonair brought it up, so why rag on me?
