I found out why the Hurri1 is so dang cool.
The thing is tough as nails.

Hurri-o-Steel
after 1 hit on leading edge of the right wing and 3 hit across the length of the fuselage. I managed to knock of its Vertical stabilizer. Wheeew

Yeah they make the IL2 look like it was made outa balsa wood. It amazes me how much lead I have to pump into the Hurris.

I made about 4-5 high-speed passes on a low-speed Hurri 2C in an F4U a couple weeks ago (last time on Equinox, I think). Pinged the HELL out of him on every pass. Wings, fuselage, tail, etc. Didn't go down. Then he got help from his Yak-hole buddy who took out some of my control surfaces, and I spun in trying to run out on the deck (I'll fight the Yak alone, but not with that Hurri hanging around).

I was having serious rubber bullets that day, but still, one would think that'd have been enough to drop him.

hurri mk1 is an awesome bird. noobs whine about it being slow, having no easy mode guns, and cutting power on neg G's, but we vets know its true power

hurri2c is the perfect furball plane, fantastic handling at all speeds, can get real slow too. and with 4 hizookas all you need is a quater second gun solutions. my fave move in that baby is setting the view over the nose, and owning guys 800 yrds away that try to rope me lol.

My ACM skills are not on par with many/most of the MA pilots; that being said, I actually outflew my first opponent in the MA a couple nights ago ( I was smiling ). I was in the Hurri-2 & the red guy was in a Spit-16 & I out-turned him & got in his 6 & was able to stay there 200 to 400 out. I wasn't able to put enough lead into him for some reason...no hit Sprites...no falling parts or fuel vapor...no smoke. I had my convergence set @ 400 then...( set it out further after ) & got the assist when he attacked a set of buffs with me still in tow. I like the British planes, Spit's & Hurri's. They compliment my lack of skill with ease of use because I have trouble with planes that stall easily....like the German rides. I got called a pu$$-E by one of my own squaddies for flying the 2-C? Was that because it has 20 mikes or because it's tough or because it's slow or because it's manueverable or because I won't fly exactly what he considers "worthy"?

bah who needs ACM's when in a hurri all i do is pull up hard and do a "victory" roll (hehe BOB) and turn hard once they start firing always using positive g's then if they go up i'll go up with them then turn hard just as i am about to stall and usually they will miss me on their way down and then im on there 6 and its over. But if they try to turn with me we all know what happens hehehe.

Only problem is I don't fly hurri 1's to often anymore for i ususally have to escort Genrl's 30k bombers:noid.

hehe hurri's own in dogfights especially the hurri1's 8 303's. Once at D200 or less just gotta aim just infront of cockpit and boom there goes the tail.

(Also how can you guys tel the distance from inbetween the distances my distances go by 200's so its like 1k 800 600 400 200 0?)

Yes, the distances go by 200s.

D200 means actual distance is between 200 and 399. Best judge this either by +/- sign in front (- = closing distnace, makes it 200-300 more likely then 350) or judge by size of the plane (Compared to Gunsight or other fixed objects at known distance).
d200 big plane = about 200
d200 small plane = more likely about 350

You can "practice" that judgement on friendlies, where you get an exact distance icon. (Also can "practice" judging distances by plane size offline with the drones, flying ICONS OFF)

Hurri I was notorious for its fuel tank which was located right under the pilot. 1 ping there, cockpit full of fuel just waiting for a spark or incendiary.

Many burned to death, few hoped they did after surviving.

I don't see hurris catching fire too easy in AH which is historically inaccurate.
