If I understand HT correctly, it is the shooter that records the kill.  So, all lag would do is inform the dead guy that he died a little later and he would cry that he got shot after the bad guy passed.  However, the shooter should record the kill no matter what the lag is.

Is that right HT?

" Buffs routinely absorb that many taters... "

I've seen that happen. Once shot three 30mms in a Lancs fuselage from close range without no apparent effect. Awhile later he crashed and I got the kill. Dunno whether because of damage or was it proxykill or something.

Once I noticed that many 30mms exploded as if hitting Lancs tail although IMO they exploded a bit above the tail without damaging anything. Counted 3-5 such hits.

It has happened more that I have removed a wing of a fighter with 30mm and only got an assist. Prolly has more to do with damage/kill system but it also happens some times that a solid hit on fuselage or wing do nothing -at least nothing visual.

Don't recall having such problems in AH1.

New netcode and lag make a bad mixture? If it is so then it happens to other weapons, too, but because they usually have more hits on the same area it is not so noticeable as with weapons that hit once.

Although ostie works for me, dunno 'bout YakT.

I believe with packet loss you will see the hit. Your computer sends packet saying it saw a hit. Packet gets lost the hit information never gets passed to the hitee hence he flys off dumb and happy. You get rubber bullet syndrome.

i dont got enough perkies as it is and i like upen my lancs to kill 1 dang t 34 or wirble its fun droping 42 bombs

That B17 took 8+2 hits from my 262 and flew away without even losing half elevator. I lost an engine as he pinged me from high deflection + speed pass d600-800 as I was doing evasives and extending.
