would it be possible to shorten the next one?? because there aren't as many planes for the russians/ finns, and i see a kareila RPS loosing originality a little faster than an ETO one. perhaps shorten it by a week or two?

That figures, get something good goin and it gets ruined. Not surprised at all.

Why don't you guys just " Test " it in the backup MA?Like they did the donut map,oh wait that makes 2 much sense.

well to test it and sort any problems it needs to be played around with. in the last year the max no. of people i have seen in the backup MA is 3 lol

in AvA it will get thorough testing

but i dont like the idea of having a long RPS where the changes are in years instead of months, and i think shortening it a little will help it from becoming stale

I would not test it for too long, as the novelty will wear off and reduce turnout in the Scenario.

I can't wait to fly Pacific.

The New Guinea-Guadacanal campaign and the Luzon-Okinawa campaign matchups will be sweet.

Looking forward to flying some Japanese stuff too.

It's not only for testing, it's for familiarizing the people with the map.

If you take a look at the map, you'll know what I mean - no regular towns, lots of special objects etc. It takes a while for people to adjust to "think different" if I may quote an Apple slogan here. And, if I may be so bold, this is absolutely the best map in AH2. Ever.

And to add to the confusion, I think the Pac is the least popular setup here. Always no players on arena when PAC is on. At least I avoid all PAC setups like plague, since the Japanese planes are such underdogs, usually. If anyone asks me, Pac may be skipped altogether in AvA setups.

The next setup will be for 2 weeks (only). After that, we might have a Pac scenario  - sorry Wasq, but you'll have Nikis and Ki84's at some point there - not the underdogs at that point.

I did not mean the last part of the war where the Japanese planes are quite competitive. I mean the part of the war where you will be subbing ALL of the Japanese fighters with A6M2 for several years. If we don't get planes like Ki-43 we won't get a fair fight. To be honest, the AH2 planeset for Pacific is awfully lacking and I see no way to implement rolling planeset in the Pacific until more Japanese planes are added.

Our current RPS ends tomorrow (sunday), what would you like us to have next? If you have a preference, please post a request in the next 2 weeks before the next setup is done... We are happy to test the new map in here, but if you want something specific to be run, please post your request in time to be considered.

Uhh.. and you don't find the Russian planeset to be lacking? ;) You'll have to fly in the Pacific setups also, I'm gonna make the squad nights in the AvA compulsory. :)

By the way, I think the Karelia is among the most expected maps, I see no reason for hostility if the AvA staff wants to present the most awaited map in a couple of years to be used for real fighting,

Hate too differ but, a lot of people enjoy the Pacific Setup, even before they changed the name of the CT and others started showin up.On thursday nights there was plenty of us in there enjoying the pacific set up and throughout the week as well.

This new set up will bore quicker than PAcific by a mile.

IMHO

thank you for utilizing the karelia map.  I will not participate in any of the pacific war RPS unless we (JG54) voted as squad do so as allieds, if possible only when the F4Us become available.
