The map may have been the most complained about while it was there, but I do remember that I liked it. I've never been fond of furballs. :aok

I just wish that there would be more new maps....  The same 3 or 4 over and over gets very old very fast.

As for map getting reset a lot, of course it did, all people did was sneak bases.  The fields were so far apart that mounting a defense was useless.

Pizza was loved by guys who wanted to take bases un-opposed, just ask Shubie and Beetle.

compare AKDesert to Trinity and AKDessert look to be a furball map.

You know. We could have pizza map back. With the graphic improvements.

All it takes is someone to take the time to make it.
In fact anyone can make a map and submit it for approval for use in the MA

I'd love to as I think I have some ideas for a really great map. Complete with a fightertown type area and all the canyons, GV bases and a HQ area that would be an actual challange to bomb
Unfortunately.
I probably dont have the talent or patience required to accomplish this task LOL

The outer reachs are OK, but these maps as a whole are never ending and promotes pure lameness IMO. One horde in one section attacking one base with the opponent a section over doing the reverse. Of course you can`t please everyone.
I wish that were true Jack.  I saw very little of Fester cause it got reset quickly. Oz was a little better and Donut was gone way to fast.

AS for the lameness, if it is fighting that you are speaking of, then these maps are guilty.  If it is undefended base capturing and hording, then you are wrong.  Pizza was the worst offender when it came to this kind of lameness.  Because the fields were so far apart you could not defend against the hord once it was on your base.  By the time you upped from another field a sector away it was too late.

Because the fields are close together on Fester, Oz and Donut the defenders have a much better chance of fight back the hordes.  Perhaps this is the real reason a small group of people don't lile these maps, because they are not safe hideing in the horde anymore.

Yeah straffo both of those maps suck!

The only way Pizza would be good is if the base spacing followed the lessons of Fester, Oz or Donut.  Add an uncapturable fighter town and the map will be an instant winner.  Make these changes and I am for Pizza.

As for 5 carriers on Pizza, with the overall size and lack of water, 5 was not enough.

I like the new map reacher, better have at least 10 carriers per country and at least half of the fields less than a sector apart.  Put a fighter town off in a remote corner and make it so people cant hide carriers in the large open water and I think you would have a winner.

The best part of The great 3 maps (Fester, Oz and Donut) is that, with bases close together, even when the fun nazis kill hangers are your first field there is a close enough base to up from to keep the fight going.  If you are a person who doesn't like to fight then I can understand why you wouldn't like the Great 3 maps.:aok

BTW - I've won that trip to Hawii in the MAW to many times before. :D

By the time you upped from another field a sector...
Now THAT's what I call lameness. It's a very long time since I played, but threads like this bring back the memories. The lamest thing of all was when two sides were ~evenly matched and the fight was going on in a mixture of plane types between bases, but as one side started to lose, they'd start upping LA7's... from another field a sector away. LAME, LAME, LAME!!

the idea for 4 islands was so CV's couldn't be stolen....each of those islands have shore batteries for each country to prvent CV's from passing thru the choke point.

maybe i'll submit it. i was working on this map when FBomber was working on his map...pre donut. maybe i'll host it on H2H and get some feed back on it.

i don't think the water would be excepted.

LOL look what the Dog dragged in. HAHAHA  Thanks for accentuating my point.  Personally let the LA7s come, it will be just as much fun killing them too!

Keep going reacher - Definately add a Fighter Town on one of the corners in the middle of no where, far away from everything and submit it!
