Hey, I'm all for pullin the plug on all the forigen aid, bringin our kids home, tossing out the illegals and ripping up all trade treaties that don't reciprocate tarriffs.

In other words... the resta the world can go scratch; I have no desire to see America play 'Empire Strikes Out'. Police yer own messes up and leave us the hell outta everyplace that don't have a US zipcode.

But that's just me.

Meanwhile, our Imperious Leader and his imagined mandate (what's his approval rating NOW??) with the corrupt band of beancounters chorus (aka the Legislature) have other ideas.

I like you Hang but don't kid yourself.  America thinks they have to be the moderator in everything.  Sure countries ask for aid, but we're acting like big brother a lot of the time.

Please do not generically state what 'America' thinks.  I am with Hang on this one, as are many Americans.

Sad to say, we have no control over what our politicians do and those are the people you want to link to when making statements like the one above.

A lot of the time? Try ALL the time.

And it sucks. No wonder we're hated and villified around the world. Most americans could care less what happens in england or anyplace else... how's that translate into us sticking our unwanted noses in anything? Really.. the world (and england, if it's still oin the planet) can go scratch for all I care.

Furbie, you got a rotten tooth english complex or something? England can do just fine without our meddlesome assistance in any of your affairs... and if you think I'm advocating our Imperious Leaders policies abroad, you missed the point I was trying to make utterly.

My apologies by "America" I meant the politicians who control the country.  When was the last time a citizen had a say in whether the country goes to war or stays home?

Global domination, global conquest, taking over the world, world conquest.
In World War II, the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler had ambitious plans for directly controlling all of Europe, and then obtaining a position of power that would make them a formidable superpower in global politics.
Look at Hitler know.

I think all Americans are responsible for the actions of their goverment, I believe they can control the behavior of that goverment and indeed I think they owe it to the rest of the world to do so.
