Bulls**t!   The problem is, the "holier than thou" countries who are MORE THAN capable to step in, refuse to, and would rather cash in on arms deals, get kickbacks for bogus U.N. I can control the behavior of my government?  Really?  How would you suggest I go about this?  More specifically, how can I make Georgey boy pull his head out of his bellybutton and quit sending our troops in where they don't belong?  I would really appreciate your help on this, as I haven't come up with anything yet.

See skuzzy, if your going to oppose the actions of the US goverment you have to be prepared for this kind of thing, you now hate the US, you hate vetrans, you love sadam huesien, your weak on everything from global warming to broke back mountain. I understand why its hard to oppose. Believe me I do, but thats not to say you cant influence your goverment, it just means your afraid to because you will be subjected to this kind of nonsence. Its real fun when you get banned for arguing with people like this. Give it a try some time.

I agree in principle to Hang's Four-Point Plan (HFPP), with just a few caveats...

1. Cut all foreign aid. I would say a drastic reduction in foreign aid based on a comprehensive 'value' review. Some aid returns value from some places. There are poor nations (through lack of resources - natural and financial) who give support to the US in strategic ways.

2. Bring the boys home. Agreed.

3. Tossing out illegals. Agreed.

4. Ripping up all trade treaties that don't reciprocate. Dicey proposition since all countries are required by conscience to protect the interests of their citiziens and economy. The US protects its own interests as vigilantly and stridently as other countries do, so it might not be in the best interest for Americans to throw them all out. How about logical trade agreements, since both parties need to gain benefit?

Free trade has an effect that is good for America, strategically - the more free markets in nations become, the more democratic their governments become. It's a correlation where mutual investment in economies tempers irrational politicians that hamper growth. Nations building, buying, using products and services of other nations raises all participating nations. Some are builders and some are buyers. Competition raises the bar for mankind.
