So why did they not feel the need to paint the control surfaces blue?

Kev what RGB do you use for the aluminium? Or is it done some other way?

THanks. Nice skins as usual.

Thanks all.

Control surfaces - They were worried it would affect their performance because the paint was just' slapped on', no quality control.

Aluminum - Did it using a gradient fill into a rectangular area that covered the intended area. Then used the mesh deform tool to 'bend' it into its final shape. That way the shades follow the shape of the wing.

Might have found the answer to rivet lines in PSP 8 and above, will post a redone 'blue Spit using this other method and you can tell me what yas think.

We need Kev to get some IX skins in the game.  Tired of the default :)

I know the pink one is coming, but a good half D-Day striped Polish bird might be fun, or something similar.

You really have to hand it to Kev & the rest of the R&D/Skinning team, you included Guppy. The fact that you can personlise your game ie; Gunsights, Skins, Sounds, is what makes this game stand out from the rest.

P.S my pet dis-like is the fact that the Spitfires go all funky at around D800.

Whats up with that, I really think that it needs to be fixed.

Hmm, how about a Spit V with a Pin Up for nose art?
