The thing is, some people spam with the check six call. Muting/squelching seem to be similar in that they both negate any text/voice comms whatsoever, including 6 calls. I suspect automute and squelch are coaded in a similar manner, and the rewriting of one would probably require the rewriting of the other. Kind of a lot of work to let drunks type to each other.

Anyway, you're supposed to fly cartoon planez, not netsexorz people.

Scrap, let me see if I got this right.

Your on the CM staff? and you ran afoul of the text filter?
And you put yourself into a position where you needed to communicate, and couldn't.  And your WHINING about it?

Sorry Scrap  but you just slipped 250 respect points in my book.

Ghost, look again.  Lute is a CM.  I'm merely a degenerate cog in the machine he maintains. :aok

I do believe that there should be some consideration given to the conversation before a warning is issued.  Now I do not curse or use objectionable language on text or vox.  However I received a warning for use of profanity when I typed the comment that the Bish were reproducing like cockroaches.  I do not think that cockroach is a profane term and I  believe that issuing a warning for such a comment is taking things a bit far.

Wizer if it was on private channel it was the text filter, 2nd  he must have had a waring from the text filter before the mute.

Scrap was drunk. Mystery solved.

The filter does act goofy sometimes, HT. I've been warned by the auto system, which surprised me since I knew I hadn't attempted to say anything objectionable. I then typed what I had said again, since it wasn't profane. BAM, 10 minute mute.

I had a similar thing happen hub, used to be typing totally tubular would set it off.  So if you said something like "AFK need to...." you'd get warned/muted.  Skuzzy fixed it though:aok

I saw someone had a funny squad name the other day, repeated it on 200 since he was on a different country and got muted. It was a pair of parenthesis with an "o" inside each set, that doesn't seem like it was the language filter.
