Shadow bugs... WEIRD!!

Hey, i'm sure some more people know about this bug. But the shadows in my Aces High are just "Screwed Up"! If I lose a wing-tip. The shadow shows a plane with full accessories... As in, when I lose a wing-tip, the shadow does not show a wing-tip missing.

 The same when I shoot someone elses' wing-tips off. The shadow does not resemble the body of the plane. Plus... when I shoot someone's wing-tips off, from about 400 FT back, it shows their plane with full wings... But when your close-up, it shows the damage.

 Also, another something I discovered. In a map I found with custom designed skins by Raptor01. When you pull up the gear and its COMPLETELY UP. Bank left, or right. The shadow of the gear will appear EVEN WHEN THE GEAR IS FULLY UP.

 What in the world is going on?!?!:confused:

If I fly low in the MA, shadows will appear above my canopy at times, and also at strange headings which my plane isn't currently pointed.

Well, I can imagine strange headings that your plane isnt pointed. Shadows are supposed to be synchronized with the sun's beams of light. But I can't see how it can be ABOVE your canopy? Wow, well, thanks for mentioning it, that might provide some more firepower to get HTC to take a look at this.

I have seen shadows above the canopy as well. when flying very low over trees, or other objects.

I have noticed shadows above my plane, too. They just blink in my view and last only for a frame of two. It looks like a drawing algorithm has gone mad.

I've been seeing shadows all over the place.  Jump here and jump there.  AND there is nothing availbale for the shadow to be cast upon!  They just appear here and there.

Sometimes they look like UFO's chasing planes.  Most noticable when flying near bomber box's.

I know everyone in my squad is seeing those "mystery shadows".  For me the appear regularly when flying over terrain at a low level.  Kinda frustrating but nothing that would cause me alarm.

I am sure that HTC has seen them....if not well here is the post for it.

For HTC...it does not affect the game play as to cause damage like a solid object would...just flickering shadows above/to the side/and below the acft.

There have already been post regarding this bug.   I'm sure HTC knows about this and hopefully will have it fixed by the next update.


Speaking of updates, anyone have a guess on when the next update will be?

You have to shoot the shadow's wingtips off seperately.
