I think they were never very useful, from the Sparrowhawk in the 1930s
to the Goblin in the 50s.

It is an intriguing chapter in history.  I think it'd be neat to coordinate attacks with them, but, alas, unless we had a pure early war .. VERY early war environment, this one would be devoured...

Parasite fighters may not fit in well.

Fighter parasites, however, can be a real problem.

Aeronauticists talk about parasite drag all the time. Maybe we should ask for AH to add fighter gobies to clean them off?
