My First Test Offline after download...
« on: February 27, 2006, 02:00:31 PM »
Hi.

Today I write my first thread after long time.
Please read:
 http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=1966338#post1966338

After download AH today, I check my first flight in Mode Offline.
In my first flight offline, my joystick, throttle and pedals (all OLDS and NOT USB) not work in AH
but this same items work GOOD in WARBIRDS Online/Offline and IL2+AOE+PF 404m Online/Offline.

In AH with olds items, my airplane take off but it could not make level it
because the controls do not respond to me.

I will buy joystick USB, throttle USB and pedals USB.
I hope that news items USB work in AH but
I need information: Why old items not work in AH but YES in Warbirds and IL2?

Best Regards!

If you haven't already, calibrate your game devices in Windows first, then go into Aces High, Setup, Select Joystick, and make sure that the your game devices are listed there, select them and then calibrate them in the game. Hope this helps.

inside AH go to joystick settings and assign the stick to all inputs, then give the rudder axis to your peds. then calibrate joystick and peds inside AH

give us your type of stick you are using: Joystick - Throttle - pedal types

and I assume they are analog as well.........

if you are using CH Products ( and this could possibly be applied to other type sticks as well ) if you pick your stick  ie... CH Fighter Stick...and you have it programmed via the Speed Keys software, you may run into problems.

with that said, when you do a boot up of your PC you will want to reset the stick, if memory serves me well hold down both the top red buttons the one on the side and the one on the back plate while computer is booting up.......

this will erase the memory stored, then you will have to go into windows and pick either a 3 axis 2button or 3 axis 4 button generic stick ( CH Product sticks instructions even refer to this )

calibrate stick in windows then go into AH and calibrate in AH and set all stick inputs........from here you can do your stick mapping & keymapping.......

a few of us still use speed keys,  but we either use a bootable floppy disk to program it in DOS or we load the stick with speed keys from a PC using win98

hope this helps........only thing about the new CH USB stuff is the throttle and joysticks do not have the onboard memory/flash card to permanently hold the programming like the analog controllers use......

another way if you looking for  CH Sticks to appear in AcesHigh stick selection is find the CH driver for your OS ( 98/2000/WinXP) and install it

then you should see CH stick type show up in Aces High......

http://www.chproducts.com/retail/tech_support_pc.html

can find the analog drivers at the link above

Good Luck

If they work in WB & IL2 then they will work here, my CH analog stuff works in all 3.........

do a search here on these forums omsg, on analog CH Fighterstick or CH analog Joystick setup

there are numerous threads regarding this.......

my analog CH stuff is all working, Ren's ( another Trainer - AH player ) has analog CH HOTAS system and his works just fine, as well as alot of others here.......unless you just want to go spend the greenbacks of 270.00 + for the new USB stuff.........

still my opinion is you had it programmed & saved for WB / IL2 and that is kepping AH from seeing it,  I think if you did a hardboot ( to where it resets the sticks memory ) then you be just fine and can use the stick mapping in AH to program ......

You said you calibrated them in Windows, but did you calibrate them inside AH? There are 2 places to calibrate. One is in the windows settings. One is under Aces High, in the Setup > Controls > Joystick > Calibrate Joystick

Now, you have to move every part of your controls to its limits, this includes throttle and rudder and anything else you have (sliders, trim discs, anything) before clicking the "Okay" button to finish calibrating.

They should work fine. I don't think you need to buy anything new, it's just a matter of setting up AH.

Hi KRUSTY.

Under Aces High, in the Setup > Controls > Joystick > Calibrate Joystick, all work but aileron NOT WORK!!!.

Krusty, my olds products with NEW PC work GOOD with:

1.Good) WARBIRDS in Mode Online and Offline
2.Good) IL2+AOE+PF 404m in Mode Online and Offline
3.Good) WW2OL (AIR) in Mode Offline.I not have account ONLINE.

but it is impossible to fly AH and Targetware

1.BAD) AH: It is not possible to be made level! in Mode Offline.
2.BAD) Targetware: He is unstable but I can fly with less difficulties in Mode Online and Offline.

I wait help until I receive news products.

Omsg , if all work except the ailerions , go to SETUP/ Controls/ Joystick/ Select Joystick/

A side window should pop out thats has a box for AHcontrol /Joystick/and Joystick input.

In the AHcontrol select ROLL        / In the Joystick box select Your joystick  CH .... /      then in Joystick input select X-AXIS.      At the bottom of the joystick input box Click SET INPUT .  try that and see if it works .

Sounds like a lanugage problem.

If you are seeing Thrustmaster you are in the wrong menu.

You need the second menu down which says "Select Joystick".  You will see "Mouse" as one of the possible joystick input devices.  If you don't see your old joystick listed, AH isn't recognizing it, at least not as a CH product.  If AH thinks it's a Thrustmaster you might try updating the drivers.
