Hello, I bought Windows Xp pro for hundreds of dollars

It doesnt have Word. How can i get that?

What options do i have besides using my credit card?

It has Wordpad. MS Word is a separate application. Either bundled with MS Office, or can be purchased standalone. Or you can use your older version of Word with it.

If you bought a copy of Windows XP Professional for $100.00, then something is wrong. MS tightly controls the price of thier OS. Low ball prices like that are to be suspect.

Stuff that is either made by some coad monkey in his basement or is divoid enough of features to be free of charge to use.

I use Open Office, seeing as it has a WYSIWYG web page editor.

Ok I'll take the hook JUST in case you really don't know. Word is part of Works.

IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW, that may be true with some versions (he didn't specify version) but my copy of MS Works Suite 2000 Disc #1 of 7 discs contains "MS Works Suite 2000 Setup" and "Microsoft Word 2000 Setup". I have a shortcut to MS Word 2000 pinned to my start menu and I assure you I have never purchased a standalone version of Word. I have never found a reason to upgrade as it works great with XP Pro and Home. I am still using updated versions of Excel and Powerpoint from Office 97 with no problems. I do use the latest MS Office viewers to resolve any compatability issues.
