for the 2 week trial....can HT suggest that you at least familiarize yourself with the game off line first?

We were all noobs..but I mean... at least  learned how to take off before going on line and asking people how to do that.

Actually I didn't.  I jumped online and augered repeatedly:lol   Luckily I had was introduced to the game by some who already played Warbirds and AH so they helped me out tremendously.

You could spend a few minutes with these players or tell them about the 'help' channel that exists in game.  It would have taken less time than to log out and post.

I too have been frustrated by the 'noob' but have learned that it takes less time to answer a few questions and help them out than it does telling them to 'go find a trainer' or 'go to the TA'.

skernsk...I'll answer all questions that I can, too....

but please, some of these guys coming on don't even know how to fire guns.

There's enough chatter on the radio without having to deal with that.

I started my piloting days by practising in WB 2.xx offline untill I could confidently shoot the drones down. Helped a lot into moving to online arena.

A couple of days ago, just after a take off, I've been chased and strafed by a brand new fellow Knight. He eventually died before I could type something on the country channel.

P.S.: I made the same thing the first time I managed to enter the AW arena some 10 years ago ;)

I think he called you a dork morpheus.  But don't quote me on that.  Or maybe he was calling me a dork, either way he was calling somebody names.  I think that rule #4 has been violated and immediate action should be taken.

You have 8000 posts to his 9, I'd call it post-is envy.

Revor I'm not sure what your problem is but you always seem to have an "edge" to what you say. Both here and in game, at least thats the way I'm seeing it.

I havn't figured out why.

Somehow you got off on the wrong foot around here, please do NOT take this the wrong way. I'm not critizising, complaining, or putting you down.

I'd just like to have a chance to hear what you say without the anger or the chip on your shoulder.

As to the 2 week wonders, well they keep getting younger, brasher, and harder to deal with. But the fact remains, they just want to fly like everyone else.

They just need to be educated a bit as to how to go about that. And after all, isn't that what a community is about?

Newbie starts asking questions my standard reply is "Welcome to AH may I
suggest you read HELP and note DOT/KEY commands".

Newbie still asks questions I then reply "Spend 30 min reading HELP save 3 days of asking question".

Newbie still asks question I do the dot squelch newbietosser.

I think 2 in every hundred actually take my advice
