Well.....I would say that I am qualified to take part in the thread due to the fact I have lived, traveled and expierenced Texas to a great extent. The Texas part, yaknow.
You on the other hand haven`t got a clue about Texas.
What you do have , as far as this thread topic goes, is knowledge of England.
You could, if you were so inclined, share what you beleive to be some good points about England. The England part yaknow.
Or........you could continue your routine of trying to see how big of a jerkoff you could be. You are also very practiced in that area.

for a young person seeking a good night life, trendy bars, fast paced life, huge variety of cultures, lots of attractions to visit, fun... London, England.

for people that want to shoot fluffy little animals, like bbq's, people that speak spanish... Texas.

for someone that wants a relaxed life in the country, open fire places, old pubs, nice scenery, history... England.

someone that doesnt want to pay ridiculous amounts of money on gas, likes flying, cars with big engines, open space... Texas.

etc. etc. etc.

Typically, as Curval says, it's Scones with Clotted Cream and Jam. Jam is optional, IMO. With Jam is good too, though, especially the "Straaaw-bree" jam.

Looks like we are on the topic of food. I dont care what BBq joint you have ever been too but coopers is by far the best in the country. People drive from other states just to have so of their brisket. Every day this place is packed with people making day trip in the hill country. Also their a great TexMex place across the street. Its great in hunting season because evryone has camo on and you know their having the time of their life with their family.

BTW that pit is what you order from. Just walk up take a look and pick out a piece of meat. Most time they have 2 pits like that to order from but in hunting season sometimes they will open up 4.

My knowledge of TX may be small, but is infinitely greater than your knowledge of England. I say infinite because if you've studied math(s), you'll know that infinity is the result when you divide something by zero, no matter how small that something is. As HmcG is here, I should further qualify that by saying that the "something" needs to be a positive value, else he'll have me!

want to visit the England from those James Herriot novels. With the country vets and the dogs under the pub stools and the crochety old farmers with the stone fences and the whiskey and scones for desert England.... that would be cool.

I live 10 minutes drive from from that sort of terrain.

I was driving over the Pennines yesterday (similar to Herriot country) and was struck by how beautiful it was, as I am everytime I drive through it. Blasting along a particular open country road at 80 mph it was just superb, until I realised it was about -4 deg C outside and I really should brake at alot earlier into the corners.

Scones are more associated with Cornwall and Devon (South Western peninsula of England).

I'm sure Texas is fine, but I'll stick with Yorkshire for the time being. It is god's country afterall - no snakes, spiders, hurricanes, earth quakes. Just amazing scenery, extremely variable, but gentle, weather and decent beer.
