How is the Main Arena connection for you?
« Reply #106 on: March 02, 2006, 07:22:08 AM »
feem is quite right.

One thing I did forget to ask about, and that is who your ISP is, and what region of the world are you located in?  Thank you all again for the help.

Also, when you say 'worse', 'better', or 'same', is that based on game play or other information?

<--On Dial-up.  Connection is the best I've seen.  Savvis was marginal, ATT looked like a fine tooth comb every night, and this one is actually a tad below the redline on the net status.  First time I've seen that since I started.

gameplay is same. No problems noted.
ISP is buckeye-express.com, cable modem

My ISP is SBC and I am located in Northeast Ohio (Cleveland Area).  When I previously said same, I meant my ping sample on login screen.  On the old server, my ping was 62 and under the new server my ping is fluctuating between 47 and 63.  Game play has not been affected.

ping times now fluctuate from slightly better to slightly worse.  Game play last night had many small warps that were not there before (could have been the massive furball  I tended to be in).

ISP -- charter cable in the twin cities, MN area.

Worse, based on 10 traceroutes - averaging 156ms (21 hops) to 206.16.60.38 and 194ms (18 hops) to 206.123.111.42. Also, in the arena selection screen, ping times to other arenas are lower than to MA. TeliaSonera ADSL (8/1Mbps), Tampere, Finland.

My ping time is down to the low 30's (previously mid-70's), but I can't stay connected.  Keep getting discoed after about 3 minutes every time I sign on.  Bellsouth DSL located just outside of Pensacola Florida.  Other arenas unaffected.
