edit: oh, I'm also going to Virrat, Finland for the "European AH-pilots' Spring Meeting" in April... :D

Toronto,

If you think you'd like Monument Valley, go a few more miles to the NE and visit a second area called Valley of the Gods. It is very similar to Monument Valley except you can guide yourself and don't have to pay. You can also get closer to the formations for better pix as well.

For me, I haven't found a favorite vacation spot yet. I'm still searching as I haven't hit all of the lower 48 much less Alaska. I'm giving it the rest of my retirement for the search.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Toronto, I saw a moose for the first time up there.  I had always figured the things were about horse-sized... boy was I wrong.  They're freaking huge.  I was carrying our canoe down a portage trail and came around a bend in the trail near a small pond.  I spotted it in the pond when I was probably 20 feet away, and watched it get out and walk onto the trail.  I didn't really want to try to get past it carrying a canoe and a 60 pound pack, so I sat down on the side of the trail and watched him go about his business for a good 20 mins.  A very cool experience.

Thanks for the heads up on Valley of the Gods. I googled that name and saw some photos...it's awesome. Travelling through that part of the country is something I am really looking forward to doing.

The moon.

I hear the view is outta this world.

It's not so much where for me, it's what.

Bondurant is one of the top options for me in the next few years...
