Compatible or not, Matrox is not known for having good DirectX support for any of thier video cards.

it's written somewhere in the Necronomicon that if Matrox actually manages to put out a competitive gaming card, the world will promptly end before anyone gets to use it.

Oh wait a tick, it's not a graphics card.  This actually looks pretty cool.

It has support for the IL-2 series and the M$ Flight sim group so I would think it would fairly easy to get some support giong for AH. Hell if it did work with AH I might just grab a couple of more 17" LCD's and buy one of those suckers.

You are correct.  It is a software solution which works with any existing video card (supposedly).  Here is the kicker though.

Interesting.  But it does require the video card to support a very odd resolution and the amount of video ram wouldb e much higher due to the higher resolution you have to set.

True Surround Gaming: http://www.3dvisor.com

Maybe HT could write drivers, someones done FS2004 drivers for it. Imagine it matched up with TrackIR 6DOF.

How much does the new system cost? (Not that I will ever be able to afford it)

No worries Saw.  It was a birth defect.  I get along just fine as I do not know any different.  However, it does preclude me from watching 3D moves, or using 3D goggles.
It should wreak havoc with my depth perception, but some automatic mechanism figured out other ways to deal with it (shadows, size changes...).

Looked at the site...damn thing is $900! Doesn't look like it supports 6DOF either, in other words, you can't slide yer head side to side to peer around the frames.
Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
