any one even think about kamakazis? such as, getting LOW as hell, dropping a bomb and crashing into the ship (AA wouldnt be too much of a problem if your going to die anyways).

Weeell...  I think a boat large enough for a player to do the kamikaze trick with any chance of hitting will take more lbs of ordnance than any fighter can carry.  I'd also guess anything large than a fighter will have a hard time getting past the AA defences.  5 inch guns on proximity fuse.. good luck  

A PT boat.. well sure 2 1k's will likely sink it, but my guess is that the amount of firepower a PT boat can point in yer general direction, may make PT boats virtually invulnerable from the air..

1 1k would split a PT in half, I sure hope these boats are not too tough, I mean with all the armorment they will have pluse if a bomber is headed yer way zigzag and what not, they are far from sitting targets and pack a hell of a puch MABY if 2 or 3 kamakazis heade at the boat from diff angles at same time one would have a chane, but then a gain this is a relativly small boat zipping along and fireing at you.

Near misses might roll a PT over but they'll prolly fair better then Panzer if the guy misses.

OK, you mean that someone in a PT-boat releases all torps on a ship or a ftr all bombs not worrying about air defences.

The air defence will likely get him but you think it doesnt mater to him?

I dont think so because AFAIK your dropped ordnence is lost when you are. So if you hit the ground before your bombs, they will disappear and if you drown with you PT your torps will disappear. And from what i know this kamikaze-stuff doesnt work. The other FE prolly wont even notice you colliding...

BTW: I just cant wait for these carriers...

Yup, boats will be absolutely wonderful.  Let's see.....

On most nights in my timezone there's between 14-20 online, roughly evenly split between rooks, nits and bishops.

Hmmm.. so I've got 10 enemies or thereabouts.

3 will be in vehicles...
4 will be in boats ....

Great.. that leaves 3 whole enemy aircraft in an entire arena

(Although I'm sure it will be a huge hit for those guys who normally see 100 plus online at any one time.  Unfortunately, AH on my side of the world is as dead as a doornail ... and getting worse by the day)

PT boat will go 45mph and a bomb hitting water shouldn't have the same effect as it does on land. You would have to make a direct hit to do any damage.

It won't be the same as with a tank or an osty.
