Yesterday, I was happily flying into battle on the nit front.... having a couple fellow rooks around me, we're trying to push towards the field... life is bliss.

At one point I spot what I think is a stalling N1K (I am myself close to the speed of light in my dora and everything is pretty much a blur at that point...) I shoot at it with everything I have and the nikki goes *pop*.

Turns out that the N1K was missing its tail before I got there...  you can immagine what follows. A lot of cussing, moaning whining and multiple uses of the "F" word were thrown at me.

Now, I don't remember who it was... but let me tell you three things:

#1. No I hadn't spotted the missing tail.

#2 Your whining was actualy more fun to hear than the reward for the "stolen kill". I hadn't been shouted at like that since... err I don't remember.

#3 Regarding point #2. I shall endeavour to try and "steal" most of your kills from now on. Please continue whining loudly.

Some poeple need to switch to decaff.. I swear.

Sure, treat it lightly. Pretend it doesn't matter.

But when his kids miss out on the free Hawaiian vacation given to the mostest bestest evar fighter pile-it for this tour just because he had one kill less than someone else you will probably feel guilty.

Think of the children!!!

I am usualy too stoned/drunk to care when i play this game... I have another occupation during the day (the one that pays the bills) and I log in to 'relax' during the evening or on the week ends.

Kill stealing is one of only a few of the very finest arts that is left to us at this point. The pure joy of a well exectuted steal can only be overshadowed by a good vulch session.

Bah-loney.

The highest art form is still shoot chuteing. Vulches and kill steals pale in comparison.

Toad,

Unfortunately there is a bug right now (I verified this personaly and it works). As soon as one bails out, he can hit "tower" and spawn out while in mid air. Untill that is fixed we will have to find a workaround to the chute popping activity. I'm too far to steal all your beers, so...

Saw, I stand corrected.

The VERY HIGHEST art form is shooting the meatbomb before he can pull his ripcord or .ef in midair.

That feat stands above all others as Mt. Everest stands above the dikes in Amsterdam that prevent the North Sea from flooding all of France.

Still, shoot chuteing is right up there with that, especially with the bail/.ef escape technique. In fact, in light of the "stealth bail" actually getting a chuteshot magnifies the achievement.

Unfortunately, Wetrat doesn't like it when I do that... whether or not he has even fired on the target yet.
