Dots on maps vs. true position

I have noticed this bug in the last couple of weeks.

Sometimes when one of my squadies is keying his mic the box that pops up on the map is not where he really is.

Last night a squadie called for help, he was being chased by 2-3 bad guys low on the water.
When he keyed his mic it showed him 10 clicks NE of our base.

So that's where me and another squadie are heading to help out, but we don't see any dots.

I look south and there are the dots, due east of the base about 1/2 a sector south from where his box showed him on the map.

Happens on all maps.

Seems to happen a couple of times a night.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes and it's not new. Notice it about a year ago but rarely. For me it happens more on smaller maps and/or when there are more than 500 players on-which happens more frequently than it use to.
