G-force Fx 5200 Pci

Hey guys...Im running the card stated above in title of this thread...I havnt updated drivers in over a year, and Im thinking it may be a good idea...What are the drivers that HTC announced months ago that are optimal for this type of card and for AHII....thanks

I am running the video card stated above...I havnt updated drivers in well over a year and reckon its prolly about time to do that...Where do I find the drivers for this specific card?  Which drivers do I want to use?  Whats best for AHII

A couple months back Skuzzmister said something about a specific driver that works best....60.??  anyone know which one it is?

I think it was 1.6693 (6.14.10.6693)

Which is what I'm using now, but the Omega version.

I had better luck and framrates using the Quality drivers, set the image setting slider to Performance ( middle Left ) and ofcourse v-sync to: ON.

The other sliders I left alone..apllication controlled.


The newer drivers don't help this video card, they will just slow it down.

ForceWare 61.77 is the version that runs best with that card. Newer ones will cause issues.

I am running that card.

61.77 drivers are what you need to run.

I had this card and skuzzy said to use 66.71 but I used Omega as MotlyCH has said above .

61.77 Omega drivers work well on this. My buddy's PC has that card (I just recently canned my 5200 AGP), and he went through abut 8 different driver sets (53.03 on the install CD, iirc, and about half of the newer drivers on the Nvid site). Installing the 61.77s cured some really odd issues he had. I suggest those first, and if you're adventurous, install later drivers, and compare performance.
