I'm almost over with it.

Game is kinda short but VERY good.
And the action scenes are really good.

SW Remedy Entertainment (btw its Finnish  :D) is using their own MAX-FX graphic engine. They were also developers of "Final Reality" 3D benchmark couple years before 3D-Mark came in use and also 3D-Mark is using MAX-FX engine.

I had to admit I was little skeptical if "Max Payne" will ever see a light as a final product because they've been building it ages. It must be two-three years ago when I saw first news about that game but game's development started in late 1996.

It took its time but now its here  :)

BTW First patch is out thought I couldn't find any reason why   :D

I just want to add that this is a spectacular game!  I just finished it and was awestruck!  As said before, the only real drawback to it is the length.

Heheh, felt like I was in a John Woo film.  Just an amazing game and a pretty decent story too.

Since i play some fps, i would say ya not bad nice shoter, but this guy in front of you, showing his back all the time, i find it very anoying, could't shaked him away or shot him  ;)

Somehow I prefer first person view vs. 3rd person view, i dont know.
The statement below is true.

Awesome game - most immersive shooter since HalfLife!!!

Finished it in 10 hours - working on the hard-boiled difficulty level right now.

Bullet-Time is a GREAT feature! Looking forward for an extension and mods - very capable level-editor included with the game.

The nightmare levels really gave me the creeps: had to stop playing the second prolouge since it really freaked me out (dark room - headphones   )

Mistook Deus Ex for Max Payne... That game looks really nice (Max Payne), wish I had a system that could handle it though.   ;)

Theres nothing better, than System Shock 2! That game makes you watermelon in your pants. It has decent graphics too, even that its 4 years old. Just tried it couple of days ago and i couldnt play it when lights were off, theres just too much creepy stuff. And that game has the most immersive evinromental sounds ive heard so far.

ehm, will it run on a 700mhz geforce 1 128mb ram machine?

Still, $40 for 10 hours is a bit steep. Maybe i can get it secondhand somewhere.

Hehe Staga, that was "Maccarena" (spelling?)...  :D

Santa: running it on Duron700@858/GeForce2 at 1024 32bit highest quality setting without a single stutter!! It might be short but it's worth every cent. I'd be rather entertained perfectly for 10 hours than be bored 100+ hours for my money...  ;) The replay value is quite high since every fight is adrenaline rushing even after the 10th time - and who knows maybe there is something special when u finish it in all modes. It's like a John Woo action movie - it's thrilling even the 5th time!

BTW, anyone managed to unlock the "war against the rats" easter egg? Threw a grenade right into the hole - nothing happened...  :)

doesn't anyone else think just about all FPS's are the same? I can't tell the diff from Tribes to Unreal tourny to Quake to Duke Nukem... same game just different weapons and skins.. to each his own  :)
