When you say "family" do you really mean sealed black bags I shouldn't look in and flying them back at an altitude of 50 feet?

A ballpark would be no less than $15,000.  If you're really serious you can look into local charter outfits in Minnesota.  You wouldn't have to pay the 2 hour repositioning leg at a cost of about $4,000...both ways!:O

Actually looking at that...figure at least $18,000 at least.

I think you can airline for about $250 per person round trip

That money doesn't go to me.  An "average" year if you took the salary vs annual flight hours it would work out to something like $50/hr.  Hardly good money.

Not to be an arse, but the guys and gals flying our jets average about $75.00 / hr for 700 - 800 per year of flight times.  Why is your company so low?

Well it's either a nice cozy part 91 corporate outfit (doubt it given the flight times you listed) or...

They are 135 and fly airplanes with more than 7 seats or...

They are called "Captain"

I could get a calculator or do some mental math but I like my arbitrary number just fine for a few reasons.

1.) It's nobodys business what I make.
2.) It's close enough to be in the ballpark for a 600hr a year job.
3.) Any way you slice it...it beats the regional airlines.


So wait...you'd pay a 1400 hour guy with:
No Type
No ATP (not even old enough for the thing)
No Turbojet
No College Degree (senior)

dude, whatever amount of money you make dont matter, im sure everytime you fly over the clouds at sunset, you laugh at the chumps who sit in an office for over 8 hours a day lol

being a pilot is one of the best jobs i can imagine. what is the point in money in a job if you dont enjoy what you do to earn it?

at the end of the day, being rich doesnt make you happy. it can help, but it has nothing over being a private pilot. i envy you:aok

Those days are long since past my friend.  The days of big bucks for being a pilot are coming to a close in the very near future.

I didn't say big bucks either...just bring on the buck.  Colleges don't accept memories as barter for tuition.  That takes money and if I'll have to take a G-IV to London to make it then that's what I'll do.
