A truck would be a nice addition, it'd be faster than the M3, but won't have any armor or armament.
It's ofcourse able to carry either troops, vehicle- and field supplies.

Trucks were used alot more than the halftracks/LVTA's we have now, it seems historically right have trucks.

Trucks would be good - faster than tracked vehicles over roads, but slower across country.
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.

By not putting on any armament (which some trucks did have) I think the M3 will not be counted out. There's a destinct choise; speed or safety? Otherwise you'd see people choose the same think over and over again.

If there's a road between the spawn and the map room, then it's advantageous to select a truck with troops and get to the objective very quickly - as soon as the target is ready.

Of course, it's also a good idea for Mr. Defender to lie in ambush.

We could also do with more roads - but at the moment they're just used as tracks for those rare (and VERY fast!) convoys. BTW, convoys I've seen are pretty slow, the ones in AH seem to speed along. Far too fast.

That and it's armour ;)

Besides the convoy trucks, even the troopers are too fast! They run 20mph! (measured it once)

All in all, I think it's a good idea to add trucks, maybe the same type as our convoys, maybe something else.
Would be highly used I think!

Actually - to nit pick - all the vehicles are a bit too fast anyway. The Panzer IV had a top speed of about 25mph along a road at full pelt (maybe a bit faster sometimes). Cross country it'd do about half that - give or take - depending on terrain/weather etc. Trucks would do far worse across country. The current model seems to emulate very hard and firm/flat/dry grass land in ideal weather.

And in real life, I doubt any crew would constantly go full speed with their tanks.
In a convoy, it just wouldn't be feasible to drive full speed.

In a combat situation, you wouldn't have enough situation awareness.

Tanks didn't fire while driving (highly inaccurate) so it'd be better to drive slowly, as to stop fast when a target has been sighted

That's another slight problem - shooting the main weapon in a tank while driving was possible - and did happen, but it was highly inaccurate. We don't have bumpy/squishy terrain so it's actually a lot easier in AH than RL. Not only were the guns not stabilised but the poor gunner's eye must have been pretty bruised trying to line up and fire...

Then again - it's great fun - especially when you go steaming through a squad of enemy tanks taking them down on the run.

...and then you hit a tree...  :(

Hey! I just realised you could trash a truck with the M3's .50 calibre!

At last! A real use for those things.

Trucks would be fine, as long as you all realize that a short burst of .303 rounds from any plane in the game would easily kill it.

How many times have you seen a flak up and said "Can anybody get that? I don't have cannon" or "I don't have strong enough cannon"?

You'd NEVER hear that with trucks. They'd just die from any plane you were flying (even the hurr1!)

Although it will get you there quicker.
If you organize a well-oiled GV attack on a base, you won't need the armour or .50

When I capture bases, I hardly ever have to shoot with the M-3.
I'd rather go 10mph faster :)
