« on: March 16, 2006, 02:58:33 PM »
Alright fellas its been forever. Half of you dont even really know me or probably even remember me. But anyways i just graduated Marine Corps Security Force school in Chespeake, VA. I got stationd in Bangor, WA right there by Seattle and the naval submarine base. Im excited because im from Oregon and ill be MUCH closer to home then the other duty stations. I leave tomorrow morning. Gonna be a long flight.

Side Note: Im married and ima need a car asap when i get there. i dont wana buy nething cheap, i figure if ima spend money on something i want it to last and i want something nice. Im looking into trying to get pull a mericle and get a 06 Mustang GT but i dunno if thatll happen. Anyone have one here and if so what do you think of it?

If you're married and young, you might want to consider finding a car that will fit a child's car seat.

Probably does, but two-doors suck if you have small children.

Hi Slurpee,
We have an 05' Mustang. Plenty of room in the back for child's seat, and children. I'd say at least till they hit teenage years. Our kids ride in the back of ours just fine, wife and I both have our seats adjusted back pretty far too (She's 5'9", I'm 6'1")

The GT is nice, but as of last Oct., there was a 4 month wait list on them. You're also most likely going to pay full MSRP. This might have changed by now, but do some research.

Its all about getting what you want, not what others think of your choice.
Enjoy WA state!

I've never found flipping a seat forward to be a problem.  Besides, coupes (2 doors) look nice. Sedans look like "your wife made the decision for you..." ;)

Practicality just doesn't stack up to worrying about one's manhood, I guess.

A lil jelly bean isnt on the way as of current, and it isnt planned we take precation in that area :). But from what Rip says that shouldnt be a problem anyway. Mainly im worried about Cost for what you get. But im fairly sure with some workin around and checkin stuff out i could safely do it and still be fine.

Sandman  you sound like my little sister . She had one countem one kid , sold her Breeze and bought a Voyager . Why I asked her  becuase of the kid. I LMAO What cant fit a car seat and a diaper bag in the Breeze that was bought and paid for.

Also it has nothing to do with manhood . Might just like a performance car instead of a pos econo crapper.
