I'm going to guess that the real thing probably shook as badly, but the people sitting inside shook along with it.  We, on the other hand, watch the shaking while sitting stationary at our desks.  This makes it appear worse than it probably seemed in reality, and it also makes it more difficult to adjust to it.

"headshake" as i know it, comes from a improperly set up front suspension on honda motocross bikes. It will give you religion doin 65 mph thru the whoops, and the honda decides to "shake its head". ;) I cant hit nuthin in a osty, then, or now, so ill talk about somthing I know a little about . as you were.

Ahhhhh,  there must be a GOD, and it is HiTech!!!!!

Don't have to worry about 6 LTAR's in Osti's defending bases any more.    Poor Comander  Moil, LTAR's will have to learn how to fly now!!!!

Just kidding, You have a few guys in the squad that handle the stick well!!!!  ;)  :)  :P

Hopefully the Bomber Gunners will now find it harder to shoot down fighters also.  The Kill ratio for Bomber Gunners in this virtual world of ours is probably 800% higher then it was in real life during WWII.

While firing the gun anything you're shooting at is a blur? Is this spose to represent some sort of recoil? or do I need glasses?

Thanks
You've obviously never fired a large calibre weapon before have you MOIL.  I've fired 50 call AAA before, and let me tell you, the vibration is the least of the issues.

The shaking is very realistic IMHO. Especially the 50 cal mounted guns on swivels.

If an ostie shakes that bad, hate to see what the 8" does.  May make your monitor fall off the back of the desk and your force feedback stick explode in your hands :rofl

Actually, I found the 'headshake' while extremely nauseating doesn't affect aim at all. The rounds don't disperse to any greater degree. Other than being nauseating and highly annoying it has no direct effect on gunnery accuracy.

Well partner, you're in luck I have fired a .50cal and a .30cal machine gun. While "yes" they (the gun) shook and vibrated, my head didn't!!!
Nor did the target I was shooting at (a metal trash can filled with sand bags) get all blury.

Have I ever sat in or fired an Ostwind, of course every weekend (com' on) I don't think anyone in the game has ever fired an Ostiwnd. If I was ever lucky enough to get the chance to, I don't think I'd lay my head against the side of the gun while it was firing:huh

Head shake is totally wrong, don't know what HT is trying to 'simulate'.

Having fired an LMG (Light Machine Gun, although it's anything but light lol) while in the Army, it was more the aim point would move due to recoil, but no head shaking. That being the reason we were told to 'double tap' rounds.

For an SMG on the few occasions we were allowed to fire it fully auto, a long burst would make it rise to the left, but yet again NO head shaking.

What should maybe happen is the longer the burst the more the sight 'wanders' off, to simulate the recoil from a sustained burst affecting the aim point.

But 'head shaking'?
Seems like he is trying to simulate the aim point moving but doing it the wrong way round, head shouldn't move, sight should.

Nope, don't have to worry bout that too much rich, ya can now just buzz over start a porkin and set up a vulch, won't that be fun.
For your info we have been in A/C just as much as GV's. Lots of the squad flies quite frequently.
It will be so nice once HT adds even more planes to the lineup only to have the same 10 A/C used every single day!!!
I would like nothing more than to see every single person in the game in A/C all the time, that we can have a giant gangbang/furball at just about every field. Won't that be fun:rolleyes:

Everyone can just pork, cherry pick, gangbang, runstang, Lgay7, run90, easymode N1k, HO and all the other wonderful things people talk about
day in & day out Yes I can't wait.

   Chill out Moil,

Just wanted to bust LTAR's balls a litttle bit for being traders and switching from Knights to Bish, and all because you felt that some of the Knight squads were not giving your squad enough respect  (yes a little birdie told me the real reason for you decision to switch countries, and that birdie was/is an LTAR member).  Better hope your LTAR's don't become POW's because the Knights wil have you Blind folded and shot for being traders!!!   :)  :)  :)

I think it was meant to simulate the shaking of a gun position on the bombers (though it does still seem really weird and not right) but got spilled into every gunning position.

Kinda freaky when a Tiger vibrates while firing a coax gun though. :D

EDIT: I'm guessing the blur is coming from the LCD panel boys. CRT doth rock.

Look at the whining over something as silly as the current 'head shaking'. If the gun shook and aim was impacted then folks would be whining 10 fold. As it is the head hardly shakes at all and aim point is not effected. It certainly doesn't 'blur' anything on my end.
