IN!
42, 183 lbs (no idea how many rocks that equals

), 35" waist, 6'1", cholesterol 165, size 13's...
No breakfast, limited lunches - turkey or ham and cheese sandwich usually, maybe a McD's now and then 'cause I like 'em.
Dinner...whatever the Food Fairy puts in front of me. Luckily, she's pretty careful about the worst stuff (fat, sugar, salt), and limits the junk food to just enough to keep me from griping when I get a craving, but no so available that any of us are fat.
I refuse to adopt any of the diet-du-jour's, since every one of them involves what I personally consider nutritional extremism, which I believe is quite unhealthy. The one principle that's always worked for me is simply to control fat, sugar and salt intake...including the hidden sources of these three.
The part that bugs me is this "national icon" stuff. Says who?
I wish that guy all the luck, and really admire what he's done. I hope he inspires a few others to make successful changes in themselves. But, I never heard of him before today.
However, considering the people that often DO become icons...he's probably a better choice than most! At least he's doing something worthwhile, without an apparent need to glorify himself.
