Thanks Ramzey,  maybe I'll have time to check out the USS Hornet,  thats exactly the kind of musuem I was lookin for.

and Dinger, yes Used book stores.  I read alot, horror, scifi, detective, history, fiction and non-fiction.  I buy almost all my books used.  I try not to pay full price for books.  I recently bought used, "Fighter, The Worlds Finest Combat Aircraft - 1914 to the Present Day"  written/edited by Jim Winchester.  Published in the UK in 2004, New price was about $40.00.  I paid $10.00

AIRCRAFT VERSUS AIRCRAFT : The Illustrated Story of Fighter Pilot Combat Since 1914 to the Present (hardcover)
by Norman Franks , New price $35.00, I got it used for $7.00

Fork-Tailed Devil, The P-38 by Martin Caidin,  paperback, new $14.00, used $4.00

These books although sold used are in brand new condition.

In just the last two months I've bought about 20 books, a mix of WWII military aviation, tank books and some old scifi for about $40.00 total.

I wasn't laughing at your choice in hobbies, but rather P-town's selection. You're best going in to SF or Berkeley for books.
For a good introduction to the culture of livermore-pleasanton-dublin, I recommend this photo essay.
