The technique is called 'channel anesthesis' or something because when the lower jaw is numbed they have to inject the poison directly next to the main nerve ending of the jaw. This will effectively numb half of the mouth.

My dentist said that statistics show that 30% of CA's actually fail to work because the dentist didn't hit the exact spot needed.

My dentist has shaky hands, and I am always broke anyway, so I just use tweezers :D

30%!?  That's too high.  Plus the fact he didn't even get it all in, that stuff tastes horrible.
