I use a Labteck headset when family around, but when they not home I have 5.1 surround hooked up to 3 amps and 11 speakers

5.1 sound (PLII), mic/headset, and dual bass shakers mounted to my cockpit.

Tank guns going off feel awesome.

Sound card line out goes to a splitter.

One side goes to my AC 400 cyberacustics headphones.

Other side goes to my KLH Stereo reciever, gets pumped out a couple of 2' tall speakers hanging in the corners.

When the wife/family are home, its the headset. When I'm alone, its crank up the stereo and rock the house!

Both my speakers and my soundcard are 5.1, but they're not compatible with each other so the end result is 4.1 surround except when watching DVDs. Eventually I'll buy new speakers and get real 5.1 again.
