Fun game?

I have never played this game yet, but have always been into BF series, AA etc.

How does this game rate, in terms of gameplay, and graphics?

Why dont you just download it and check it out?

The download and first two weeks online are FREE!

One word of warning though....... AH2 is more addictive then crack. You might not want to leave after your 2-week trial ;).

If you need help getting setup: http://www.netaces.org, the HTC helpfile and the training arena are a great place to start.

Good luck and Welcome :).

Yes it's a fun game and adictive with varied activities to suit almost everyone from the fighterjock to buffdrivers out there.
Try it off-line first to get settled, I know most don't bother but read the downloadable manual, saves all of those stupid comments people give to questions they have heard before. Once you start your two week trial visit the Training arena and hook up with one of the excellent trainers available this will make your first visit to the Main arena more bearable. Don't expect instant stardom, even though this is a "game" there is a steep learning curve.
I look forward to seeing you up sometime soon in the Main arena.

the best part of AH is that everyone you are fighting against is another real live person somewhere tyring to kill you.

like mentioned, it should be illegal according to the FDA. it is worse than crack.

I never understood how people could fly in BF1942 or BF Vietnam.  Take off...turn turn turn...try and have a quick glance to see any targets...turn turn turn...ooops went off the map and die.

Flying in AH is so superior to flying in those games they simply aren't comparable.

I think you will enjoy it...but it is nothing like BF games flying at all.

Don't judge the game by it's offline performance. The drones need to explode to be 'shot down' and can fly without wings.
Not much is put into the offline version and it's all about the online play.
Offline has its part though. You can get out of it what you put into it. You can learn the commands, flight model, and shooting down the drones can be good target practice as long as you just don't saddle up on thier 6's and shoot.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

In additions to fuseman's advice about flying it in Offline mode and going to the Training Arena, where you'll learn how to customize the game for your joystick ect., spend some time in the H2H (head to head) rooms.  The fights come quicker so you'll learn initial ACM at a faster clip.
Easy in-game again.

It is a very fun game. But, it is a very intense game. That is to say you will get out of it what you put into it. It has a learning curve that makes summitting mount Everest look like a walk in the park. Be prepared to suck relative to your peers for at least 6-12 months.

BF Flying is a joke! I played that game for a year and it was quick fun. Their were some good players but you never got to know them. In Ah we have a very large player base if you fly during the same time each day you will get to know other players. Its great because after your skill level comes it feels so good to kill someone 6 months ago you had no chance of winning. "Like Myself" Skill level plays a major factor in this game. Learn in the TA then pick up a squad and they will teach you. It takes time to become a great stick..

Funny when i was playing Bf some players said that they were great pilots (: That only takes a week and a stick!

You have to be carefull with that.  Big reason I had no clue (as far as fighters go) about what I was doing for the first couple of years, were the squads I was in.  Just make sure their main war/game objectives are also yours before you join them.
