Yep, that's right. The games these two kids played caused them to go apes**t in a high school. No matter they were picked on or some other reason. It's the games I tells ya!
This has got to be one of the most idiotic things I've heard in a lawsuit. (besides the McDonald's coffee and pickle thing) People are just trying there little hearts out to win some money of consolation out of this, so they turn to the most blamed and likely source. The video game. Come on people, look at it this way:
After you play Quake, Half-Life, or Duke Nukem; do you have the urge to go out and start shooting things up? Do you say "Wow, this game is so cool, I think I'll try this same stuff at the office for real cause it's so cool!"
When you play GTA or Driver, do you suddenly have the urge to go out and hijack cars and blow stuff up? "Well, if he can do it in a game, I can do it too!"
When you play AH, WB, or AW; do you suddenly want to get in a plane and fly HO into a Cessna or other private plane?
Games are not to blame. Games are designed to be fun, and allow the user/player to escape reality for a while, which some of us need. I play Half-Life, Unreal, or Duke, and I don't have the urge to kill fellow students.
Blaming games for real world problems is just plain stupid. There might be some cases where it might be, but not all the time.
