With all the evils in society that can influence a young person - drugs, violence in the media, peer pressure, conservatism - worrying about a kid looking at some titties just seems like a waste of time.
OK, but it's my time to waste to monitor my child's activities. If you feel like it's a "waste of time" to monitor your child's Internet access then I only hope your kid isn't communicating with some pervert in a chat room because that stuff happens every day.
I wonder what the parents of a 14 or 15 year old girl who's been exploited by a pervert she met in a chatroom would think about more closely monitoring their kids' activities? I'll bet they wish they would have "wasted their time" just a bit more. Sandman is right- the Internet (and the world, for that matter) is a dangerous place for a kid.
Thrawn, get thee behind me Satan! LOL You can't wind me up as easily as you can break me down bud. Really, being a parent is just about the only thing I take seriously and give 110% to. All I try to do is what I think is right, both morally and ethically, and I've tried to be a positive role model for her and show her by example. I have never cheated on my wife, I don't lie or steal and I pay my bills on time. Not because I have to, but because I want to. Hopefully she will emulate what she sees and raise my grandchildren with a good sense of values.
