MT is right, I "passed off" gas early this morning after breakfast. My Grandfather "passed away" after a stroke.

The details are a bit hazy now, but I clearly recall reading Lem's work when I was younger. I always included him in my list of sci-fi greats. Still good, thought-provoking stuff.

i really liked the Geroge Cloony version of Solaris.

That's really bad news.

One of my most precious books is "star diaries" which I got for 1 pound in an old london book shop 9 years go. Best deal I ever made. I still read it from time to time and laugh out loud.
