Hey Aceshigh guys! dudes you guys have all these american bombers....YET you dont have the coolest one, The B-25 Mitchell. Why is that? And when are you going to add that to Aceshigh? It would be very cool to see it in the game. I went to one of the airshows in Chino, California and saw the B-25 and have been wanting to fly it :) please can you add it?

Search the forum for "B-25" and you'll see that someone asks for it about once a month Stuka. I'd love to see it, but theres nothing it can do that the B-26, A-20 and Boston can't do already, with the exception of the 25H with 8 guns in the nose plus 2 on each "cheek".

Don't think we'll ever see it, theres a lot of planes we need much more.

The b26 is a very fast, hard-hitting (4k bombload, almost as many guns as the B17) late-war fighter-like bomber. The B-25 would be better for many early scenarios and setups. It is lighter, smaller, probably more manuverable, has more forward guns (even in the glass-nosed variants, I believe), and carries only 2x 1k or (more likely) 3x 500lb bombs.

Bah, forget the -H model. What we need is a glass-nosed C and a Glass-nosed J. THEN we need a solid-nosed J but not with a 75mm gun, with an 8-pack of 50cals.

Fugheddabout da 75mm.

But 8 .50's still won't take out a Panzer. The 75mm would. I think we need several B-25 models including the H. Oh, and just think of the skin possibilities for the Air Apaches, never mind all the other squadrons.

Dude..... B-25... one of the best medium BOMBERS of the war. You won't be taking out tanks with a 75mm, you'll be using 500lbers, 1000lbers, or 5" HVARs (depending on if those are modeled) to take out tanks!

12x50cal all firing forward, even if they only have 300 rounds per gun, that's STILL a lot of firepower.

With only 3600 rounds total, that's about as much ammo as a P47 with 8 guns carries (just to give you an idea), and 300 rpg is about how much the P40E has. It doesn't last long, but golly gee willikers, for 12x 50cal I'd take it!!!

EDIT: Like our Boston and A20G, however, the solid-nosed B25 wouldn't have formations enabled (it's not a level bomber, no glass nose = no bomb sight)

Actually the general consensus is you'd never get them on CVs. They were land based bombers, and Doolittle used specialized, stripped down, unarmed versions. In AH we get standard production units.

Hey well in AH we could have specialized ones to takes off from carriers. like there would be diferent models land based and the specialized one to take off a carrier. how about that?

B25 was a pretty important plane in the war. Flew in every theatre and by just about every Allied country. The A20G and B26 do represent the niche well, but that ain't the same thing.

Yeah, I've been thinking about the B-25 for a long time.  And why not have a CV version that has no guns?  Doesn't seem that hard to do if they make the land base version...
But seriously, just the land based would be a nice addition.
