i fear the 5k and below furball is dead..all I see now is 2 gaggles of cons, one friendly one enemy, running back to base and grabbing alt. The first sucker to come into the middle and engage is pounced upon, than the other side jumps on them. If you do get on someones six 5 friendlys with alt jump in front of you for killsteal or killshooter than scream "your clear!" in the mic like they just saved your life. I know its always been somewhat like this but it seems to be getting worse everyday...ahhh i feel better after a good cry...

peak hours are the worst... I don't bother logging in when the numbers are really high. The fights just aren't there... everyone just hovers on the half of the area closest to their base, and pounce on anyone that comes in and decides to fight. Late nights or early afternoon it's OK, though.. a little more like things were a few years back (not like they were that much better).

Oh, I dunno.

Seemed like lots of planes (all kinds) at all altitudes faced off between A3 and the Port last night. The fight went on all night and was a blast.  There was non stop action with the usual conveyor belts incoming and outgoing. Not much more I could ask for and I'm pretty sure all that were there had a great time.

i agree there are some big fights, it just seems that a furball used to involve 30 to 50 cons or so just reupping, going level and having at it..now its a buncha timid folks at 12k in a pack of ten all diving on the same con while he's already fighting 3 or 4..Ill have to adapt i guess and start being alot more picky about when and where i fight, which I hate

Yup its the new influx of people into AH and out with the old people of AH1 era.  People now worry to much about survival and winning the "war".  Flying over a1 tonight bish were no lower than 15k OVER THEIR OWN BASE .  There are some furballs of ol' AH1 era but they are not as common.  Hardly do furballs last very long as well.

Gets very irritating having to climb up to the enemy and let them come down to me.

I always thought they had to come down to die? :) Isn't that why the rooks never come down? The bish and knits, on the other hand, are more than happy to fight at any altitude. I haven't figured that one out yet.
Ideas anyone?

Well flying knights so far and this was up against the bish.  Bish came down with their alt advantage and still died. :D

See? Altitude is sometimes an illusionary advantage. :)

They really do gotta come down to die.

Air Warrior went through a phase like this too. No one left their borders unless they had both numbers and altitude on whatever they could see on the other side. All the cons I run into above 10K seem to be on their way to kill the nearest outhouse and decline combat entirely.

LOL. Ya know in the Training Arena I've always preached, "if yer not in a fight, grab" but I never, ever
said, "stay up there all night". :)
