Hmmmmmmm funny I use "rgr", "copy" and "check" calls all day on the job, in IMs and sometimes when conversing with my friends.
Of course I am usually walking the halls of a DOD or 'Intel' installation while conversing about some of the "hall talent" with my co-workers. But even in daily conversation its accepted and no one blinks an eye. My Manager is former Air Force so he doesn't even notice it.
I find it very handy while rolling down the road with a wingman...errrr...fellow rider. You can shout out very quick and concise messages that carry well over the rumble of the V-Twin 88's. "Fast mover on our 6". "CC". "Rgr...bandit is a Soccer Mom....break break break!"
Gotta love that Military 'influence". I even learned to subtract 12 for everything over 1300 hours.
Now can someone tell me what a rudder does?
