Why have you got your convergence set so far apart?

300, 275, 250.....from the low to the high, you have a difference of 300 ft in convergence points of your rounds!

I would say that only 1/3rd of your rounds have a chance of hitting, and at that probably only a small percentage of those are actually hitting the target.

Try setting all guns to the same convergence. I use 250 for all guns. I generally get in pretty close before pulling the trigger. Experiment with it to find your best convergence point.

Now, granted, my gunnery sucks. But when I do hit with the .50's I hit hard. Once you are lighting up the target, they are light frikk'n lazer beams.

I Fly P51s 90% of the time, and theres *nuthin* wrong with 50cals. If used right, they're BRUTAL - just take a P47 and point them at some poor schmuck... Even 4 50 cals can be quite effective. They key to using them is you have to *concentrate* them on a point. You cant just spray them all over the place. Aim for the tail section or a wing-root and get some concentrated and sustained hits in a single area (or any area really), and they WILL go down. Convergence is important too. I have mine all at 350 (which i suspect is still too far out by 25-50 or so).

If there is one thing that can be benefitted with better modelling, my opinion is that the .50s would be strengthened a tad bit if we had truly 'internal' components in the Damage Modelling.

We do have the engine, pilot, guns, and radiators... but it'd be great if these were more diversified such as oil pans, supercharger systems, throttle systems... internal control cables and rods.. spars and supports.. and etc etc..

If that be the case, the .50s would be lot less likely to snap and rip a wing or a tail section off... but instead they'd start a lot more fires, critical engine damages, severed controls, and etc etc..

I dont noe wats goin on, i was just in peabodys solomons flyin a f6f and i was for better or worst gettin the results i except. Maybe it was jelycross setting.

i dont get it, i was gunin on a lone b17, a spit 16 dweeb cut under the bomber from the right side, i riped his wing off with the ball turret in the belly, iwsa doin the somethin in a m16. Arent all of these the us standard 50 cal machine gun. But i chased a spit 16 after and gave him a shower before he deaded. MAYBE IM LOSEING IT.

HTC give me my incidairys and armor pierceing rounds, that will fix things.
Little things like that make thing more fun, like if they were to hook no2 in the 109(which they did have).

Oh man, yeah, they hated that bright blue bottle that Herr Willy shoe-horned it into the cockpit. Hartmann especially *****ed about it. Said it got in the way of the xbox and cd-changer he had put in.
