dont move controls rapidly

Im fighting a typho wit my 51 he starts into the verticle and i go up and start shooting..... i start walkin my tracers up and it happens dont move controls so rapidly, freezes my controls on the way down and i hit the deck. WHY!!!!!!!  SInce the update the thing freezes every 5 seconds. Before you say dont be rough with the controls and use smooth movements stop... cause thats what i have been doing since i started playing months ago and no its not my controler. Its crazy.. ill be chaseing in a straight line just making small corrections to get a kill shot and boom dead stick. Before when i first started there would be guys that take advantage of the freeze and make you move in a way to freeze ur controls Why does the game even have this and if u have to have it make it so that i have to be a freakin crazy man to have it freeze you. Please guys give me some input, tell me if im crazy.

try turning your damping up. It's in game under joystick options.

try recalibrating your stick.  If that doesn't work, try using a contact cleaner or some sort of lubricant for the potentiometer in your stick.  It should work.  

FYI, I always recalibrate my stick everytime I log on to AH.

beats me ... your potentiometer became dirty for some reason... by chance it coincided with the update.

To make stick stirring impossible. A much better solution than rubberband controls ala WB.

Hmmm........

might wanna check in windows- game controls and make sure "polling" is off!

Polling can cause spiking!  Even with deadband and damping.

If your getting allot of that every 5 seconds or so make me think you have polling set to on.

Go into the stick setting area of the game and move your stick around. Pretend your in a fight and trying for the shot. Watch the lines in the "Blue box" and see if they are smoothly moving up and down forming a graph. If your getting spikes and such, adjust your dead band slider on which ever axis is "bouncing" all over the place.

The reason that the "don't move your stick so fast" error was added..... or so I hear.... was because some people were "gaming the game" and yanking their stick all over the place when they had someone on their "6". This caused their plane to look like....due to internet lag.... it was turning one way, then the next picture another and so on, making it impossible to hit. As a real live plane would tear itself apart doing this, HTC fixed it so ya couldn't do it.

You might check to see if your stick is spikeing.   I had a lot of trouble with an old analog stick that had some vicious spikes... those spikes were read as "moving the controls too rapidly"  since I got the new CH stick it has not happened.

FWIW, last night I was flying a Ki-84 (I know, no pride) and I got this moved-your-stick-too-fast message.  Hasn't happened to me in years, literally - probably 2002 was the last time I saw it.

So.  It just MAY be something with the new settings.  Haven't conducted any scientific tests (and don't plan to), but perhaps it's unwise to just assume that it's the player.
