Perk transfer
« on: April 02, 2006, 10:27:48 PM »
Yes it's been brought up before.  What if your squad could have access to their own bank and anyone who wanted to donate could so if someone is a perkaholic they can have some extra perkies granted someone is willing to help them.  I for one hardly ever use my perk points so i wouldn't mind giving a couple thousand up.

Or if you don't like that idea how about a simple perk point transfer?  So someone can't abuse the perk bank they have to ask permission for some perks to be transferred.

Not sure how hard it would be to set up, probably wouldn't be used very much either, fall into the depths of the help channel, but what do you all think?
Who are you to wave your finger?

Ask Permission from who?  Im sorry but I dont really think its a good idea, nor would I be happy if this was added to the game...What happens when you have a squad with a guy like shawk in it with 10's of thousands of perks, and all they do is fly tempest...I think it would upset gameplay...

Plus I think perk rides are something you earn...Shouldnt be something given to you

Ahh the old upsetting gameplay ploy...As if these same guys with many thousands of points don't already influence gameplay over a base when they have Tempests, 262's and a myriad of other perk rides on a base capture mission.

I say let 'em be able to transfer the perks if they want to. Its not like they aren't going to use all of those perks themselves unless they start going on pork and auger raids.

Anybody play one of those MMORPGs?  Ultima Online, Star Wars Galaxies.. etc.

One of those games where you start as a skillless-supplyless newbie with nothing to your name short of the bare essentials to build skills and earn your way up.

Do you recall all the impatient ones wandering around asking for handouts so they don't have to spend the mind-numbing time beating up on attack dummies or mining resources.. etc?

In AH, You see the text box filling with 'Anybody need a gunner?' messages today, right?

Imagine 'Anybody spot me some perkies?   Please!.. I'm a poor orphan with 2 weeks to live and I desperately want to fly  a 262.. please!!'

And any numerous variations on the same theme.
