Are there any other
IDPA
competitors trolling this board? I have been competing now for a little over a year and finally placed 1st in the SSP/Marksman division in our local match. I use a
Glock34 9mm
and a
Comp-Tac
Speed Paddle Holster. I would recommend it to anyone who has a conceal permit. I wouldn't say it is a good place to practice true tactical shooting, but it does get you practicing drawing from a holster, reloading, and shooting quickly while still maintaining good accuracy. Plus I find it to be alot of fun. Check it out...

Congrats! I'm looking at starting in IPSC competition. Its alot different pace than the competitions I'm used to though.

I have thought about it, but have not signed up. I am pretty sure the range we went to for the bay area shooting event has IDPA events once a month.

The only IDPA local affiliate here is the Police Dept. club.
They have one on the big island for the rest of us, but not here.
