IDPA Competitions

Are there any other IDPA competitors trolling this board?  I have been competing now for a little over a year and finally placed 1st in the SSP/Marksman division in our local match.  I use a  Glock34 9mm and a Comp-Tac Speed Paddle Holster.  I would recommend it to anyone who has a conceal permit.  I wouldn't say it is a good place to practice true tactical shooting, but it does get you practicing drawing from a holster, reloading, and shooting quickly while still maintaining good accuracy.  Plus I find it to be alot of fun.  Check it out...

Congrats!  I'm looking at starting in IPSC competition.  Its alot different pace than the competitions I'm used to though.

You get bragging rights.  :)

I have thought about it, but have not signed up. I am pretty sure the range we went to for the bay area shooting event has IDPA events once a month.

The only IDPA local affiliate here is the Police Dept. club.  :(  They have one on the big island for the rest of us, but not here.
