Any Bets on McKinney's re-election?

Anybody following this woman's tussle with the FedCops?

Wonder how the race-card call will fly with the constituients.. in fact I wonder about she got elected to begin with! If she lies on the stand about taking a swing at a cop, can she be charged with perjury?

She should be run out of town.  There has to be security footage of the incident -- which I'm surprised hasn't been leaked. Plus her media appearances in the last few days where she's blamed everybody but herself - but refused to give a straight answer about whether she hit the cop.  This isn't the first time she's spazzed at Capitol police - IIRC she did it in 1998 as well, again for the grave sin of them not recognizing her.  Sounds like she's pretty full of herself - she should be instantly recognized, and she's above the law when it comes to assaulting cops.  An exemplary public figure.

Unfortunately, I question whether she would get voted out of office.  Detroit politicians have a history of winning based on the "whitey's out to get me!" card, and if the same holds true in Atlanta her own faults will be overlooked.  That won't stop her from being a complete joke in the House, but hey, we all deserve what we get when it comes to politicians.

Yup.  She has learned to make a living on racism.  She quotes "Tupac" frequently, who if you don't know is a rap thug who was murdered.

McKinney implies it was the gubmint (FBI) who killed him in a drive-by.  She has actually ntroduced a bill before the United States Congress that would require the National Archives to establish a “Tupac Amaru Shakur Records Collection” because she believes the gubmint is withholding the truth about Tupac's death.

Here is a "Thug Life" interview on the topic.  http://p076.ezboard.com/fpoliticalpalacefrm70.showMessage?topicID=46.topic

And frankly, I'm surprized this person isn't a Detroiter.  She is in spirit at least.  :p

Will she get re-elected? You, uh, do remember the D.C. mayor incident, don't you? Or, West Tennessee, where if you are black and your last name is Ford, you can get elected, or re-elected, even if caught shooting at trucks on I-40. Or you can claim to be the legitimate winner of an election decided by 13 votes, even if 6 of them were known to have been cast by dead people, and 5 of them are known to be non residents not eligible to vote in the district.

Hey it's not like she was drunk and drove a pregnant woman off a bridge.
Then not report until the next day.

She's just sued a newspaper for Libel.

She originally tried a "Hide and maybe it will go away" approach, but she's now too far sunk.  George Bush would have to don a KKK hat and kick her in the face for her to garner enough sympathy to win this one.

she will be re-elected, she has a safe, protected district (gerrymandered), it's wrong, but both parties do it by mutual agreement, to change the way districts are arranged you would have to change the law, and guess who makes the law.

She's considerably behind in the polls, almost 30% or so more than the margin of error (the margin of error of the poll is considerably smaller than the margin by which she trails her opponent). However, I have little faith in polls. I sincerely hope I am wrong and they are smart enough to send her packing, but I will be at least mildly surprised if they do.
