i get the impression that ToD will jump into mid-1944 raids and bypass the late 1942 / 1943 raids - judging by the current planeset.

No what they will do is same thing they do for events, scenarios and ToD. They will say its mid '43 and the LW will get G-6s and the Allies will get D-11s etc...

Pyro has said the plan was to go from mid/late 43 to the end...

The plane set is almost there to cover it. I dunno why they added the P-47N, except for the kewl factor it did nothing for the CT. A P-47C would have been perfect. I dunno why they didn't add an A-6 when they re-did the 190s. It's the same model as the A-5 and same performance, just MG151s in the outer wing (like the A-8 can carry).

The G-10 would have been the exact same model as the K-4 with just an FM tweak to bring more in with a real G-10.

The only other thing was an A-3/A-4.

I doubt we will see any of the planes mentioned. However, with just a little more work the plane set would be just about set for an 8th AF CT. Now we will see make believe substitute roulette (just pretend its a P-47C etc...).

It seems ridiculous we are going to have B24J and B17G's for the duration then.  We are going to have absolutely no variation in bombers. (maybe the difference between a 24D/J 17F/G is mostly cosmetic, but i think it would make a big difference to the 'immersion' factor).

Maybe they have made them and they are holding them back for CT. :D
